Tata Housing Development Company has announced that the company would increase the number of low-cost homes to be built at Boisar, nearly 100 km from the city of Mumbai, from 1,000 to 1,300.
Last month, the company launched its low-cost homes on eight acres, which is part of a 68-acre township project Tata Housing intends to develop. The apartments in the range of 283- 465 sq ft are priced between Rs 3.9 lakh and Rs 6.7 lakh.
Brotin Banerjee, MD & CEO of Tata Housing, said there was huge support for the initiative. The company has sold over 15,000 forms through its offices, 12 State Bank of India branches in Mumbai and Micro Housing Finance Corporation.
